episodes of Alias Mr. Spatafaculi

Another lost series hidden in the Tobacco Documents Archives, "Alias Mr. Spatafaculi" was a short-lived 1938 hybrid of music program and soap opera which starred singer Buddy Clark. It was originally to be called "Design for Happiness" but the name was apparently changed just before the first program aired.

Though the radio show was not successfull, Buddy Clark (born Samuel Goldberg (!)) had a solid singing career in his day, first as part of "Your Hit Parade" and revived after World War II with hits like "Linda" and "I'll Dance at Your Wedding." A plane crash in Los Angeles cut short his life at age 37.
